What exactly is the Fediverse?
The fediverse is a collection of different social networks that use a common language like ActivityPub that allows them to talk and share things with one another. If you find Facebook, Instagram and Twitter limiting, the fediverse gives you great alternatives to these centralised social media services. You get to choose from different services. But unlike Twitter or Instagram, you can also connect with other users in the fediverse. This means that you can communicate with users on other platforms.
